Lacrimosa is an interpretation – the beginning of life and existence. It’s about when two pairs of eyes meet and what unfolds between them. It’s about weeping and vindication, passing through interpretive stages of sentience only to find itself back at the very “beginning”.
Mohammad Sharar is a self proclaimed musician and visual artist. Under the name “IN VACUO”, he has released two records and has performed across North America. He continues to support the local music scene by promoting all-ages shows and underground music culture. Sharar got into animation after gaining animation experience completing Quickdraw’s Youth Animation Project and completing the 48 hour animation lockdown.
Have you ever seen a giant animation projected on the side of a building? Created through the QuickTrack Program, 4 emerging professional artists were selected as artists-in-residence for a 3-month animation production project utilizing the facilities of Quickdraw Animation Society. These artists were commissioned to create new short animations, receiving mentorship, technical support and access to equipment. We asked them to think GIANT… and they did.
